I made the front cover of my school magazine which I thought should be brightly coloured to entice the students. The main image is a medium shot of STAR pupils who received outstanding grades. The house style I used was yellow, green and white as I thought that these were bright colours which could attract the reader’s eye if lying on the canteen table somewhere.
The masthead is simple and bold and has a banner covering it. This I thought would make my magazine look quite sophisticated. The contrasting colours really stand out from the background however I feel that the white is not that clearly visible. If I were to do this again then I would change the white to possibly a black as it would also stand out running parallel with the rest of the house style.
